New ULTA Ad: 6-26 June

5 June, 2010

So it’s the Dad’s Day edition, and of course you know there’s going to be a gift offer-and this one, it’s cool: a free cooler with mini grill with a fragrance purchase of $30 or more. Look at it this way: if they have the Juicy rollerballs, that’s essentially two of those, and you get the grill for free. Very nice.

We start off with the good makeup, as Bare Minerals has a starter kit for $20 that has the original and matte foundations, plus Warmth all-over colour and a mineral veil and a mini brush. There’s six shades to choose from. Inside, there’s a few new things. Urban Decay now has rolled out the Eden Primer Potion-a matte nude. OPI has a duo of Feelin’ Hot-Hot-Hot! plus topcoat as well as a mini purse for $6, while Stila has a new 6-shade Artist palette for $28. Lorac has new Multiplex glosses, including ULTA-Glam, an ULTA exclusive colour, for $22. They supposedly have holographic pigments, so I am definitely interested in putting these to the test. Essie has rolled out the new Summer collection, and they are B2G1 free. Benefit has a new primer product, The Pore-Fessional, which is supposed to be a pore minimizer. It retails for the typical price point (for Benefit) of $28. The ULTA Professional nail line has a free base or top coat with purchase of colour polish, also.

There’s a deal, also, at ULTA’s that have the Benefit Brow Bars-get a brow arch for $20, and you get your choice of Fishnets or Low Profile eyeshadows free. Too bad we don’t have a brow bar near here…

Smashbox has their summer collection, Naked Beauty, which I will do a more in-depth piece on in the coming days. There’s Golden Nude in the Photo Finish Lid Primer, a duo of High Lights and a Creamy Cheek colour, a Halo bronzer, and a little coffret of 8 lipglosses. On the note of sun stuff, Pur Minerals has a self-tanning lotion that is 2/$25-normally $22 EACH, and Cargo still has the Get Wet kit, which is a full-size mascara, a waterproof bronzer, and three eyeliners in bright shades for the summer for $32. I am a huge fan of Cargo products, and this is one that to me is a can’t miss.Philosophy has the usual items-the Amazing Grace sets, the 3/1’s…nothing new here. Moving into skincare though, Murad has the 30-day acne kit for $3, and you get a deluxe sample of the mattifier with any purchase. I ought to get myself some of the pomegranate masks. Demalogica has a Daylight Defence Kit for $35 which has travel-friendly sizes of products to help protect skin this summer. All NeoCeuticals are 33% off, and it apparently is an anti-acne regimen. You also get a free Regimen Box with any Exuviance purchase.

Vitabath gelees are B1G1 50% off for the packaged sets, while any $28 H2O Plus purchase gets you a summer bag with a few minis. Ahava has a free straw tote with purchase of two Minerals Suncare items. Mario Badescu has a deal for $46 where you get the Drying Lotion, Drying Cream, and Buffering Lotion, which are designed to help with acne symptoms.

Tweezerman has their Pedro file on special for $10, while ULTA brand shampoos and conditioners are 2/$5 in small sizes, and 2/$10 in liters. Garnier has their eye roller on special for $10, also.

All ULTA Smoothies are $10, and with any 2-item purchase from the Smoothies, bath, or suncare lines, you get a free beach tote. Not bad, not bad at all. Selected suncare, haircare, L’Oreal, Aveeno, and RoC are all B1G1 50% off. Olay Facials cleansing cloths are $4 a pack, while Neutrogena Clinical skin stuff is $5 off. Love Pantene? Well, it’s 2/$7. Also on B1G1 50% off, there’s Ardell and Andrea lashes/lash accessories, Eco Tools, Palladio, Studio Basics and Mon Image brushes, LA Splash, Almay, Neutrogena, NYX, and Maybelline. Burt’s Bees has a free tote with $12 purchase, while Nicole is doing a free topcoat with colour lacquer purchase. ULTA brand lipstick, lipgloss, nail polish, and eyeshadows are all 3/$10, while ULTA Minerals are 2/$20. There’s a new 8-shade ULTA brand shadow palette for $10, and if you buy a Rapid Lash Eye Renewal Serum you get a free microderm polish thingy. Sweet.

On B2G1 free, there’s Revlon, Prestige, Cover Girl, and Sally Hansen. Back to the B1G1 50% off front, you have cosmetic bags and Caboodles cases, selected sunglasses, and hair accessories. The usual, ya know. There are a lot of coupons inside for some lower-end items, but the only one I would think about using would be the Jerome Russell Punky Colour.

In hair appliances, the CHI 1″ ceramic flat iron is the usual $100, with $20 off selected others. FHI’s 1″ black flat iron and the nano weight dryers are $80, while Remington’s Wet to Straight irons are $25. Rusk’s new W8less 1″ flatiron and dryer are $100 each, while Revlon has the ion tourmaline dryer or 1″ straightener for $25. The Conair Big Curls travel setter set (5 rollers) is $15, while styling brushes and accessories from Revlon, Hot Tools, and Hana K are 25% off. Meanwhile, in the salon, there’s the Modern Classics Colour Glaze for $50, and the Style Event on the 13th where you learn 10-minute updates to a bored hairdo.

Sebastian aerosol hairsprays are $7, while Phyto has a free 1.7 ounce Volume Actif with a $25 purchase. Joico’s Clinicure duos are $15, Ojon has a $25 dry shampoo duo, and Nick Chaves has a free Starlet Shine Spray or Amazon Infinity Mist with a $30 purchase. Paul Mitchell, Rusk, Sexy Hair, Biosilk, Chi Liquids, and Brocato are all B2G1 free.

Because Dad’s Day is coming up, though, selected men’s grooming tools are 20% off. Ed Hardy has a free duffel bag with $75 fragrance purchase, while Ralph Lauren has a free one with large size spray purchase. Kenneth Cole, meanwhile, has a free bag with $65 purchase. Keep in mind, those previous three are men’s fragrances only, but no matter what you still can get the cooler/grill combo. The only new-ish men’s frags that I see are Gucci by Gucci Sport, and Burberry Sport. For the ladies, it’s the new Bvlgari (Blv), and the SJP one, both of which I am ignoring. I want more Lolita Lempicka damnit!

And…that’s that. Not a whole lot new this time around, I say!

  1. i think that using flat irons with solid ceramic heater cores is the best`.;

  2. oh just be careful with tanning lotions because some of them are cancerous too, avoid using chemical based tanning lotions “
