MAC Spring Colour Forecast 4: Amber

10 February, 2010

Now, even though I am not a neutral fanatic, I do admit to owning a lot of amber-y colours because they go with everything and when I don’t want to break out a totally elaborate look, just use some of the ambers and voila, done. This is the same size as the Plum collection-so just a quad, two lippies, two lipglosses, a blush, and a nail lacquer. Bon appetite!

Eye Quad: Colour 4: $36
Manila Paper-Pale frosted white gold (Veluxe Pearl)
Flip-Bronze gold (Frost)
Aztec Brick-Frosted true copper (Veluxe Pearl)
Creole Beauty-Frosted dark golden brown (Frost)

Lipstick: $14
Beigeland-Frosted light pink beige (Frost)
Bronzilla-Frosted midtone yellow brown (Frost)

Lipglass: $14
Almondine-Pale gold with pearl (Frost)
Gold Dust-Midtone copper with pearl (Frost)

Blush Ombre: $25
Springshine-Neutral suntan. This is harder to describe, colour-wise, but it looks like a sort of gradiented bronzer, where it fades from a neutral peach to a bronze.

Nail Lacquer: $12
Abalone Shell-Creamy pale warm beige (Cream)

Of this collection, the only thing I am definitely lemming is Gold Dust. The quad looks lovely, with great finishes, but at the same time I have several UD shadow boxes and Books of Shadows, so I am good on the amber-y tones.

Finally, another note: The eye quad packaging has been revamped with a clear lid and a more square look. Me likey.
