So what is a girl to do when she’s got time to kill? Why, go to ULTA and swatch a ton of stuff, of course! I tried to get some decent swatches of various things, so you can ogle at the goodness here:) Unfortunately, they did not have unboxed sets of the 24/7 gifty things, although it could be due to it being on a front table. No Crash and Mildew swatches, sadly. Also, this is a smaller ULTA, with only one section of Napoleon Perdis, and they definitely did not have the Divine Marchesa stuff. I will check back every few weeks because I want to swatch it, darnit!

Anyways, on with the swatches. They were all done with a Smashbox #4 brush, except for the liquid liners. No base was used.

From Stila, I swatched four things: the three Smudge Pots, and the palette from the Barbie Loves Stila collection. I will do a full collection review in the next few weeks, but all I have to say is that it’s a very good value. There is a 12-shadow palette for only $28, but it’s not a big thing-it’s four Stila-sized pots divided into thirds (columns, yay). The Smudge Pots, on the other hand, are very tempting for me. The shades are nice and bright, and the staying power is ridiculous. Cobalt Clutch is a true royal blue with a smidge of shimmer, but it’s more a nice sheen. Purple Pumps is a gorgeous, BRIGHT purple, with pink reflects. Little Black Dress is a black, but with the same pink reflects. The one thing I have heard about the Smudge Pots is that they do dry out, but you can always add Visine, put it by a heat source, or use a transformer potion with it. Back to the palette, though: for the most part, all of the shades have at least some shimmer. You’ll want to use a base with it, but it’s a good combo of shades: a few dark ones, a couple neutrals, and then some colours.

Onto the Too Faced! They have had their Starry Liners for a long time, and they are multi-coloured glittery awesomeness. The one thing I don’t like about the UD liners is that the only ones that are multicoloured or something are Spandex, which is fug, and Distortion, which is the iridescent. Of the 8 liners (they didn’t have the Smurfs collection still, or Gold Digger), only one (Silver Lining) is a mono. The rest are all multis. However, they are a waste to me. They dry out very quickly, and the brush, once bristles get bent out of shape, stay that way-so the brush essentially becomes useless. If you have eyeliner mixing medium, you could always reconstitute a liner, but I’m also getting less product than an UD liner. They did, however, put out 8 new liquid liners-the Metal Eyes, to be exact. They are all metallic, many with shimmer, and gorgeous beyond compare. I’d be interested to see the lasting time on one of these, to be honest.

Starry Eyes liners: Stalkerazzi, Silver Lining, Drunk Dial, Super Freak, Restraining Order, Mad, Mad Love, Ooh & Aah, Obsessed Fan

Metal Eyes liners: Brown Sugar, Get Lucky, Shotgun, Dirt Bag, Handcuffs, Twilight, Plum Crazy, Blackout

Now we have all of the current, permanent Urban Decay liners! Like I said before, ULTA didn’t have the 24/7 sets testered out, and I don’t know if they’ll do the same (I hope so though) when they get the mega stash in, as I need Eldorado but want to swatch it! Anywhoo, here you go.

Top: Stash, Rockstar, Ransom, Lust, Deviant, Covet, Graffiti, Flipside, Electric
Bottom: Honey, Underground, Baked, Lucky, 1999, Bourbon, Gunmetal, Dime, Yeyo, Zero

Finally, I have one of the Napoleon Perdis Prismatic eye quads-the bright one! While many quads do have shimmery/frosty shades, this is all matte, and it features a bright white, a bright purple (I would say close to Purple Shower), a bright blue (Electric Eel but way better), and then a bright yellow (maybe Canary Yellow? It’s brighter than MUFE #2). You will want a good base with these as they are mattes, and you want to keep the colours nice and vibrant. Most of the quads have a variety of neutrals, or a few colours, but this is the standout by far. Honestly, if you like mattes and you like bright colours, this is a quad that you should be trekking to ULTA for. I cannot say enough good things about it. Say what you want about NP himself, but he puts out some good products.
