FOTD: Golden Girl (24 June 09)

24 June, 2009

I am not going to lie, a lot goes into a look like this. I tried to do a colour on the waterline, and let me just say: don’t. Unless you are using a mate shadow, steer clear of most colours. I’m trying to find SOMETHING that works for me, and so far, I have failed miserably. Oh well!

You need:
Eyes: Estee Lauder More than Mascara, Solar White eyeshadow, Goldmine eyeshadow, Royal Flush pigment, In Living Pink eyeshadow, UD Honey eyeliner, UD Covet eyeliner
Cheeks: Solar Riche bronzer, Helium pigment
Lips: Cult of Cherry lipglass, Style Minx lipglassSubstitutions: Solar White=Nylon. Royal Flush=Cranberry. In Living Pink=Da Bling (this look only). Solar Riche=your bronzer of choice. Helium=no dupe (this look only). Cult of Cherry=Russian Red. Style Minx=Pink Poodle.

Directions: After applying mascara, do a wash of Goldmine all over the lid. Use your small blending brush to apply Royal Flush in the outer corner, and use the end to slightly blend it into the Goldmine (no harsh lines, please). Use any brush to apply Solar White above the crease, and then use the small blending brush to apply In Living Pink into the crease. Blend well. Use Honey as a lower liner, and then use Covet (or a matte green of your choice) on the waterline. Sweep Solar Riche along the cheekbones, and Helium on the apples of the cheeks, going up and out. Finally do a coat of Cult of Cherry on the lips, topped with a little dot of Style Minx in the centre in order to give a little bit of visual appeal.
