Tuesday’s FOTD: Perky

18 April, 2009

I haven’t had as much time to post lately, so my apologies big-time. Anywhoo, when one of my guy friends saw this he couldn’t believe how many products I used-but hey, being a makeup junkie is hard work, dude!

You need:
Eyes: Lancome Cils Booster, VS High Definition mascara, Solar White eyeshadow, Helium pigment, Bright Sunshine eyeshadow, Aquavert eyeshadow, Fresh Green Mix eyeshadow, Reflects Bronze glitter, Golden Lemon pigment, Silver Fog pigment, UD Peace eyeshadow, Reflects Blue glitter, UD Zero eyeliner, UD Zero eyeshadow
Cheeks: Tippy blush, Love Rock blush, Helium pigment, Alpha Girl Beauty Powder, So Ceylon MSF
Lips: Hollywood Nights lipstick, Style Minx lipglassSubstitutions: Solar White=Nylon. Helium=Pink Freeze (this look only) for the eyes, and Rose for the cheeks. Aquavert=no dupe. Fresh Green Mix=Bio Green, or UD Graffiti. Tippy=Pink Swoon. Love Rock=Gleeful. Alpha Girl=Well Dressed, applied with 187. So Ceylon=bronzer of choice. Hollywood Nights=Show Orchid or Girl About Town. Style Minx=Extra Amps.

Directions: Start out by using Cils Booster and mascara, and then use a 252 to apply Solar White above the crease. Blend Helium in right under the brow, and Silver Fog at the very inner corner of the eye. Use a 231 to apply Bright Sunshine over the first half of the eye and the mono side of Fresh Green Mix over the outer, and then blend Aquavert into the middle third of the lid. Blend Golden Lemon in from the inner corner into the crease, and then add in some Reflects Bronze to go with that. Line the waterline with Zero eyeliner, and then use a 209 to go over it with the powder for added intensity. Use the flat end of the 231 to line with Peace (or use Electric if you want), and then use a 212 to go over that with Reflects Blue. For the cheek, apply Tippy right along the cheekbones and Love Rock over it. Use a small blush brush, or even a 217, to apply Helium right along the top of the cheekbone as a highlight, and then buff Alpha Girl over that before buffing So Ceylon over the whole face. Finally, a coat of Hollywood Nights topped with Style Minx will finish this off.

As far as ways to tone this down, you would only do one thing intense-not all three. Just doing So Ceylon on the face would make a world of difference, as would a lipstick that was a bit more midtone and a lot less bright.
