FOTD: Spring Green

24 February, 2009

So now that I can do FOTD’s again, I figured now is a good time to do some new looks. I haven’t done this particular look before, and I like it. A lot.

I used:

Eyes: Lancome Cils Booster, Very Sexy High Definition mascara, Urban Decay Zero eyeliner (waterline), Delphic fluidline (lower liner), Estee Lauder Butter shadow (inner third), Pagan (middle), Fresh Green Mix mono side (outer third), Fresh Green Mix melange side (crease), Solar White shadow (crease to brow), Silver Fog pigment (crease and blended up to brow as a highlight), Reflects Blue glitter (over Delphic), Reflects Bronze glitter (in crease)

Cheek: Pink Swoon blush (on cheek), Pretty Baby Beauty Powder (buffed all over face), Dancing Light Beauty Powder (on cheeks)

Lips: Vegas Volt lipstick, Shine Manish lipglass

Substitutions: Butter=Golden Lemon. Delphic=Urban Decay Electric. Pagan=Bitter. Fresh Green Mix-no dupe. Solar White=Nylon. Pretty Baby=no dupe for this usage. Shine Manish=no dupe.

Directions: After applying lash primer and mascara, apply a coat of Solar White with whatever brush you want-I use a 252-everywhere between crease and brow. Then use a 210 to apply two coats of Delphic under the lower lashes. Take your Zero liner and line your waterline, just one coat. Use the sponge-tip applicator that comes with Butter to apply it to the inner third of the eyelids, then use any brush you want to apply Pagan to the middle. Using a 231, apply the mono side of Fresh Green Mix to the outer third. Use a smaller blending brush to apply the melange side in the crease. Lightly dip a 217 in Silver Fog, and blend it from the crease to the brow, going outwards. Then use your small blending brush and apply a good amount of Reflects Bronze in the crease. Finally use a 212 to apply some Reflects Blue overtop of Delphic.
Take your blush brush of choice and apply a little bit of Pink Swoon to the apple of the cheek. Take your buffing brush of choice (for me, the 181) and buff Pretty Baby all over the face. Then take the blush brush and sweep some more Pink Swoon along the cheekbone, to build colour. Finally, take your blush brush and lightly apply a little bit of Dancing Light to the cheek and above the brow. Finish off with two coats of Vegas Volt on the lip and a topping of Shine Manish. Voila, finished.

Note that you can do any lip that you want with this, but I chose to go for the coral-orange. Also it turns up way brighter in real life.
