No word yet on what there will be-but knowing her, it’s going to be very heavy on the eye products.

Anyways, the big collection coming this February is MAC Shop (or Store). It’s a very kitschy collection, a grocery-store theme with a lot of bright colours. From the shots I’ve seen, it’s similar to Barbie-right down to the models (the exact same ones, five years later). Think that, with the size of Spring Colour Forecast or Makeup Art Cosmetics.

Selected stores will have unveilings. The one at my mall isn’t, but one of the girls showed me the postcard from another store. They’re pretty cool! I’m dying for the pistachio-shaded stuff…nom nom. They are doing a weekend event though, as always happens (but I don’t need those as I don’t like other people doing my makeup).

More word on the collection goods shortly. I have a giftcard for it; my dad bought my Blush Ombres so I have a giftcard waiting for me at the store for $52 worth of goods. I’m definitely saving it for this, because there’s got to be some good stuff.

Anyways, I got two blue polishes-Jo and Ibiza. The thing with Zoya is that there is so much I want to try and buy, but the nice thing is that they don’t really delete polishes from the range. It’s also good to get away from the super-metallics, although I have yet to buy a creme finish from them yet. I dunno why…

Jo is a beautiful colour, it’s very 90′s in a way. It’s a pale dusty blue with blue and silver shimmer that reminds me of Essie’s Lapis of Luxury (as far as the base colour goes). I think this may be prettier though because of a) the shimmer, and b) the fact that you just need two coats for total opacity. I don’t think I have another polish (besides LoL) that is close to this, and it’s a shade that goes with a lot. It’s not bright enough to where it overwhelms, but at the same time it’s still enough of a pop of colour to make an impact.

Ibiza, meanwhile, is a blackened blue with blue shimmer that is like a lot of stuff I already own. (Orly Star of Bombay, Essie Aruba Blue, OPI Russian Navy/Play til Midnight…to name a few) The one advantage that this has, though, is that you could theoretically get away with just one coat. The only problem is that it is VERY slow drying (I’ve never restocked on my Seche Vite), and the shimmer doesn’t really show up sometimes. It can look very…bleh. Maybe next time I’ll try it as a two-coater-I saw the opacity of the one coat and figured that it would cut it. Obviously, I was very wrong. Still, though, it’s a nice colour, if not terribly unique.

With my order, I got chipboards for the three new collection launches. That’s one thing I like about what they do: I can really see the colours and then get hyped up to buy them when they hit the local ULTA. I’m eyeing a couple of them, namely the Fleck Effects (even if flakies are a couple years old and it’s all about the magnets now).

Anywhoo, Urban Decay started the spring product blitz with three new 24/7 pencil liners. These won’t be in-store for awhile-I’d say a month-but they’re trying to do more online pre-releases this year so that’s why. What better way to start out than to add new shades of liners? Not much of a better way, I’d say.

Joining the ranks is the all-new Perversion liner-the blackest black matte eye pencil. For a lot of people, this is something that they will love. Me? I don’t use black eye pencil-and rarely black eyeliner. If you were someone who found Zero to not be intense enough for you-then this will be a must-have.

Also coming are two other ones: Demolition and Woodstock. Demolition is yet another brown, but it’s a matte which is something that I always love (if I don’t want to break out my 210 and Inglot 88), while Woodstock is a sparkly bright pink. I need to find my pink Chromagraphic pencil, but even with that this may be making its way into my stash sooner rather than later.

As I said earlier-they’re now on the UD website. More spring stuff will follow, and I’d say that mid-February will be the time when they’re in store.

First up is the Iris Apfel displayer, which was a nice, bright one inspired by the famous NYC figure. Sadly, when I got to the store after I got off work, the collection was pretty much sold out! They still had Flamingo lipstick, which was nice but way too milky-and not to mention a Lustre. Morange is permanent, and I prefer Neon Orange anyways, as dry as it can be sometimes. The other three were ones that would have been nice to have, but I have Fusion Pink and Full Fuschia anyways, and as for Scarlet Ibis I have enough reds that I like better. They had the Beauty Powder and all the shadows and polishes-but even on the website, Too Chic is sold out. I must say that this is one of the bigger successes in recent times. Not to mention it’s a timely launch, because we have gift cards. I do have to say though…on that note, I’m shocked as hell that the Blush Ombres are not sold out on the site yet! I’d have thought they would be, but I guess not. Oh well, I’m happy that I got mine. There’s also the Naturally collection, which is a bunch of neutrals. There’s two repromoted MSF’s (Redhead and Blonde), five neutral-ish MES, some lipsticks, and other stuff. Definitely not my sort of thing, but there’s a lot of people who like this kind of stuff. I would hope in the future, though, that they put more emphasis on collections like the Iris Apfel one and less on this-because it’s quite apparent that people want colour.

Finally, there’s Mineralize skincare. Five all-new permanent products:

I haven’t really done the MAC skincare, as I am a big Murad fan. That being said, I’m always in the market to try a new moisturizer, and I may get the Face/Body lotion. I definitely like the idea of that, because it would be great for travel.

Before I start, a nice note: on the Zoya site, you click on each polish and it has the opacity on a 1-5 scale, as well as the colour family, the finish, and colour tone. That’s not something you see often enough, so yay on them! It’s especially good because Zoya, for the most part, is not readily available as far as the good stuff goes. So for my colours, I’ll have the terms from the site paraphrased.

Cho-Warm peachy beige cream with a fine silver shimmer. Hits a 5 on the opacity scale.
Farah-Warm neutral beige cream with greenish undertones. Hits a 5 on the opacity scale.
Bevin-Dusty teal-toned sage creen cream. Also hits a 5 on the opacity scale.
Skylar-Dusty steel blue with gold/silver flecks. Hits a 5 on the opacity scale.
Tru-Reddish-grape with colour-shift shimmer (gold, orange, red). Hits a 5 on the opacity scale.
Lotus-Dusty blurple with colour-shift shimmer (pink, red, gold). Also a 5 on opacity.

The other thing: Fleck Effect glazes-also known as Mylar. Yes, Zoya is doing the flakies-although I have to say one thing: better late than never. These are all very sheer-but that’s the point: to use these as a topper, as opposed to on their own. The three colours are:
Maisie-Sheer blue with blue-green flakes
Chloe-Sheer warm pink with tarnished gold-blue and red-orange flakes
Opal-Sheer apple green with green-blue flakes

Because the promo for the polishes ends on the 9nd (Monday, these will be available for order on the 10th. I’m excited to see them at ULTA!

Anyways, this is now online and in-stores. I went nearly four weeks ago to do my preorder, and while a few things were missing, all the lip things were there for swatching. The polishes look really good, but what’s the star of the collection? Yep, it’s those infamous Blush Ombres. Two of them-Vintage Grape and Azalea Blossom-are being repromoted. Sure, it’s a hefty amount but you get a lot of blush, as well as the cachet of owning Blush Ombres. I know that the quantities are very limited-to give you an idea, the MAC store by me got as many of each as they did Lightscapade-which, to say, was around 10-12.

The pigments are also really nice-Circa Plum comes back, along with Aurora and Nebula, two really pretty sorta neutral-ish shades that have lots of pearl. They’re ones that even a neutral-hater like myself would definitely go for.

Pick some of this up today. Luckily, this is the only one for right now-but next week, between Iris Apfel and all the other things, your wallets may or may not be hurting. Just warning y’all:)

Now the one thing I don’t like is that they are in the new bottles. I’m such a huge fan of the older heart-style bottles, so seeing the smoother bottles is just…a downer. I almost would pay the $150 for a set (lotion, perfume, and bag) at a little perfume store at a mall south of me just so that I could have the awesome bottle.

It also is an interesting way to go about the holiday season, because it is typically when the new fragrance will be released. I know it’s when I bought my Moon Sparkle, and Taj Sunset came out right before the Christmas rush last year. Instead of launching a new one of these, they can bring back three VERY popular fragrances from the past, while also focusing on the “non-summer” ones, as they have been doing lately with a launch of at least one a year.

On that note, though-I have my ULTA coupon, and I’m getting my bottle of Sexy Graffiti today (hopefully). I also hope that they please, please, PLEASE bring back Ibiza Hippie. That and my Michael Kors fragrances are my signature ones. And my Lolita Lempicka, too…that’s a different story though.

I couldn’t get a release date on this, sadly-there was nothing on the article. But at least we now know what is coming soon!

But I got up there today, because I needed to do a little Christmas shopping-and that I did!

First off, at the Kate Spade store, I picked up one of the little piggy coinpurses for my best friend. I was pleased to hear that they are vinyl, and that there are quite a few things they do that have no leather on them whatsoever-the girl told me to just ask them the next time I come up. Definitely a fan; it’s hard finding a good bag that isn’t leather, and I quite like Kate Spade. I may have to come back and get myself a piggy coinpurse as well, since they have bright pink. It was under $20, also, which made it a great buy.

At the Juicy outlet, I treated myself to a charm. It was a little bottle of sunscreen, but it was $16 so I couldn’t resist. Ironic thing is that my bracelet is missing somewhere in my room, so I haven’t been able to put it on there yet. (That, and the pumpkin pie charm that I got several weeks ago) I could have bought way more, but I hate spending a ton of cash. They had a really cute charm that was a dog in a bubble bath though.

Finally, at the CCO I picked up a couple shadows for my friend-Her Alter Image and Sky Blue. I could have bought a lot for myself-they had Amazon Princess blush (from Wonder Woman), about 20 pigments/glitters (including Bright Fuschia, meaning I should come back and get it), as many if not more eyeshadows (Surf USA is one I almost got-that and Vibrant Grape. Also could have gone for a backup of Sky Blue), beauty powders…lots of good stuff. I got myself one beauty powder though-Light Sunshine. They had a bunch of Michael Kors Island Palm Beach, including a set for $50 that had a bonus. Definitely will have to get it; I’m halfway done with my bottle. Ah, the pains of Christmas shopping. Worst part is I still have quite a bit more to do.

I was happy though because the local nail supply had two bottles left of OPI DS Perfection. I picked up one, to go in the package down to California, and may have to get the other along with the last bottle of DS Original. Just to have backups, ya know?
